Approach
Therapy allows a space to explore one's narrative and make sense of confusing or hurtful parts of the past. Together, we identify chronic negative self-beliefs and unhelpful patterns of relating. Through intentional listening, attunement and interpretive reflection, I help clients gain a greater sense of autonomy and self-care― enabling them to move toward healthier relationships with self and others. When working with adolescents my approach may vary as I believe it is important to foster an environment that feels less formal and more open to to explore creative therapuetic approaches
Sessions and Fees
The standard rate for a 55-minute individual, couple, or family session is $120, with longer sessions available upon request at an additional charge. I offer a limited number of reduced fee slots based on financial need. We can discuss this option, if desired, during our initial contact. Payments can be made via cash, check, or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) and are due in full at the completion of each session.
Insurance
I am an in-network provider with Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. If using your health insurance for therapy, I recommend you contact your insurance provider to inquire about your benefits and any out-of-pocket costs you would be responsible for paying. For other insurance companies, I do not work directly with the providers or file claims. However, I am happy to provide you with a monthly bill for you to submit to your insurance company/healthcare plan (e.g., out of network, flexible/health spending account, etc.) for possible reimbursement.
Cancellation Policy
Please understand that your appointment time is reserved for you. If you do not give advanced notice of cancellation, it prohibits other clients from meeting during that time. Clients will be charged the full fee for no shows or cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice.
