When we enter therapy, we are choosing a process of looking deeper into the truth of our life stories and parts of our core selves. Although those prospects may sound frightening, good therapy is a gift that we give ourselves: a gift of understanding, cultivated compassion, and widening clarity. I believe therapy is a collaborative process that should incorporate curiosity, acceptance, and connection. My goal as a therapist is to help people better connect to their sense of selves in order to lead more fulfilling lives, along with improved personal relationships.

I also approach therapy from the perspective that our first relationships, with our primary caregiver(s), are formative in how we view ourselves and relate with others into adulthood.  Therefore, therapy often includes an exploration of your family of origin and how family dynamics may have impacted your current style of relating and sense of identity.

Education- I graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2009 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religion from Colorado State University in 2001.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado (#0013192) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington (#LH60640109).
